Lukmaan Viscomi
Founder of FitrahWorks · ANLP Professional Member · MA Islamic Studies (in progress)
“I created FitrahWorks because Muslims should not have to choose between practical personal-change support and a framework that takes their faith seriously.”
Lukmaan Viscomi is the founder of FitrahWorks. He embraced Islam in 2003 and, from approximately 2007, began the structured study of Islam and Sharia — seeking to understand how Islamic principles apply not only to worship but also to character, responsibility, relationships, decision-making and personal development.
For more than sixteen years, he has studied and contributed within programmes associated with the Muslim Research and Development Foundation (MRDF) and the Islamic Council of Europe. During that time he studied under the guidance of experienced teachers and murabbis, including programmes involving Shaykh Haitham al-Haddad. He is pursuing an MA in Islamic Studies at the Markfield Institute of Higher Education.
Lukmaan has worked professionally in coaching, training and structured personal-change intervention since 2014. He originally trained with NLP Dynamics, completing Practitioner and Master Practitioner training, and later completed Trainer Training with the NLP Academy — studying directly with NLP co-founder John Grinder and Carmen Bostic St. Clair. He has held professional membership with the Association for Neuro-Linguistic Programming (ANLP) since 2014.
FitrahWorks brings these two strands together. Islam provides the underlying understanding of purpose, responsibility and ethical boundaries. Professional coaching and personal-change tools serve within those boundaries — never above them.
Lukmaan does not present himself as an Islamic scholar or use FitrahWorks to issue religious rulings. Where an issue requires specialist scholarly, clinical or safeguarding judgment, responsible referral forms part of the method.
Why FitrahWorks exists
Two strands, one practice.
FitrahWorks grew from the conviction that Muslims should not have to choose between practical personal-development support and remaining faithful to the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah.
Modern coaching and personal-change methods can offer useful ways of understanding communication, behaviour, beliefs, emotional responses and recurring patterns. However, these methods are humanly developed and therefore limited. They may help explain how people think or change, but they cannot independently determine what a person should become, which goals are right or where the proper moral boundaries lie. That direction must come from revelation.
FitrahWorks brings two strands together: a sustained Islamic learning journey and a developed professional toolkit for helping people gain clarity, understand patterns and take practical steps forward. Islam is not added to the process as motivational decoration. It provides the underlying understanding of the human being, the purpose of change and the ethical boundaries within which the work takes place.
